About: Web Marketing Therapy is a virtual marketing support system, full-service web Marketing Agency and Marketing Education Company serving small businesses, entrepreneurs and marketers. The "Wild Web Women" team has a breadth and depth of expertise, serving clients as strategists, relationship experts, analysts, SEM pros, social media strategists, bloggers, brand marketers, copywriters, PR specialists & media buyers.
Challenge: Lorrie Thomas, The marketing and social media expert behind Web Marketing Therapy wanted a website that included all of the online marketing best-practices and social media tools that she recommends in her daily practice. In addition she envisioned a completely unique hybrid blog and shopping cart interface that allowed her to sell and freely distribute valuable information products like podcasts, e-books and online tutorials.
Solution: SiteGoals custom developed a tightly integrated combination of Wordpress and a shopping cart into a single Blog/Content Management Solution (CMS)/Shopping Cart solution. Working with the Web Marketing Therapy brand identity and fun quirky attitude, our design team came up with a visual language that embraced the tongue-and-cheek delivery of very powerful and effective marketing practices. The SiteGoals technical team then devised a game-plan that would allow a hybrid of industry standard technologies like Wordpress, to work throughout the site as a singular source of content management. SiteGoals then took an off-the-shelf shopping cart and modified it to effectively handle the purchasing and protecting of WMT's proprietary information products. Sprinkle in ample amounts of social media tools and web design and marketing best practices and you have a truly unique website that continues to garner rave reviews.
